LaKeya D. Washington is an experienced attorney with a wide-ranging litigation portfolio. Born and raised in Chicago, LaKeya began her academic journey at Purdue University, where she earned her undergraduate degree before going on to receive her Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School.
Prior to joining KHK as a Senior Associate, she served over seven years as a criminal prosecutor with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where she litigated a wide range of felony cases and gained extensive experience in domestic violence and child support enforcement. Her work in these emotionally charged and legally complex areas has given her a deep understanding of family dynamics, victim advocacy, and courtroom strategy.
LaKeya brings a sharp litigation skill set, compassionate client approach, and a results-driven mindset to every case she handles. Her transition from public prosecution to private practice is fueled by a continued passion for advocating on behalf of individuals and families during their most challenging times.
